“EMPRESARIO 2K17” is a national level event that connects entrepreneurs with young minds. It acts as a platform to share knowledge and showcase your talents. The day explores events and knowledge forums lead by eminent personalities.

Key Speakers Details

Sarjun KM is the director of the film Echcharikkai Idhu Manidhargal Nadamaadum Idam. He worked with Mr. A R Murugadoss as his Associate Director in his film ‘Kaththi’ in 2014. He worked in the scripting stage of historical film ponniyin selvan as an assistant director for Mani Ratnam in 2011.

His guest lecture was on FOLLOW YOUR HEART NOT MIND- He shared his experience how to break the barriers to become a successful entrepreneur.

Event Details

ESTRATEGIA- BUSINESS PLAN

Estrategia- a provender for your inner entrepreneurial carvings. Provides an open window for the potential student-entrepreneurs in terms of entrepreneurial motivations and make them more cautious about the process of creating the business and managing the risk.

This event was conducted in two rounds. Prelims had 23 teams out of which 12 teams were shortlisted for the finals. In finals every team presented their business plan. All the teams were evaluated based on their negotiation skill, communication skill, presentation skill, innovative ideas, and feasibility of the plan.

Participants were evaluated by the internal judge Mr.R.VasuDevan, B.com., M.com., MBA., M.Phil., (Ph.D) senior faculty of DOMS-EEC and the external judge Mr.Ansari Ibrahim B.E., MBA., Business Analyst, TCS. The winners of the event are students of SRM Bschool, Ramapuram and the runners are the students of Sri Sairam Engineering College.

EL CONVENIO- NEGOTIATION GAME

El Convenio is a strategic game to express their marketing and negotiation skills. Each team consist of 2 members, one as a buyer and the other as a seller. Prelims were conducted to screen the students for mains. Totally 11 teams were allowed to participate in mains.

Finals were conducted for about 20 minutes. The first 7 minutes were given for the buyers to negotiate and bargain with the sellers. Next 3 minutes were given as strategic time for the buyers to interact with the sellers of their own team. Last 8 minutes were given for negotiating to achieve their target constraints.

Winners were selected based on the profit they earned and balance of the virtual amount given to them. Winners of this event are the students of D.G.Vaishnav and the runners are the students of Easwari Engineering College.

SORPRESA EVENTO- SURPRISE EVENT

Surprise event was conducted for 15 minutes on the spot wherein the participants were asked to guess 4 entrepreneurs name. Video was played displaying 4 slides. Each slide had 4 clues about 1 entrepreneur displayed for 2.30 minutes. Answer papers were collected and evaluated by the coordinators. The winner of this event is the student of Easwari Enginnering College.

SIMBOLO TRAZAR-LOGO DESCRIPTOR

Logo Descriptor which aimed to bring out the designer and innovator in every entrepreneur, where the participants were made to choose the logo randomly and were asked to explain about the company name, product, motto, vision and mission, 4 P’s etc. The best one with maximum valid point is the student of Loyola College who is the winner of this event.
