CORPORATE WALK – A DAY WITH HR- NATIONAL LEVEL MANAGEMENT MEET

When a person can do his best than everyone else in the same walk, it gives the person a lot of courage and motivation to achieve further goals. Competitions plays a role in motivating students to perform, excel, gain experience, showcase skills and adopt innovative techniques.

The Department of Management Studies of Easwari Engineering College organized “CORPORATE WALK- A DAY WITH HR” National Level Management Meet on 22 February 2017. The event was scheduled to conduct various competitions related to HR for all the management students in national level. The Chief Guest of the meet was Mr. Sumeet Khabandra, AGM, Hyundai Motors India Ltd., who stressed the importance of Human Resource in an organization on Topic “CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN HR”. The guest lecture was very productive and useful for all the students and shared his real time experiences.

In the Morning session, five events were conducted namely Skills for HR Professionals by Mr.A.Subramaniyan., HR Consultant, Talentscaleup, Case Study by Ms. Kadambari  Sathish., Entrepreneur (WEDO), Mock GD by Mr. Khabir ., HR – TCS, Paper Presentation by Mr.Prashanth ., HR – HCL, Tips for Resume writing by Mr. Alex., HR – Goodwill.

In the afternoon session three events were conducted namely Topic Discussion on “Employee Motivation at work place” by Mr.Hariharan., HR – MMA resource and other two events namely Surprise Event by HR Manager and his team from SRM University and HR Quiz by students of MBA Dept.

It was a successful event that encouraged lot of students who were rewarded with First and second prize for each event along with participation certificates to all the students who actively took part in the events. But in the end, this event offered a lot more reward than just the winning prizes.
